Well, I mean school's easy cause I really don't have to do anything anymore, and my friends are awesome anyways.

Welcome Back! :)

Today was my second day back at my German school. I really like it right now cause I actually don't really have to do anything. :D I just go to see my friends lol. But it's really cool.
The jet leg is bad though... Two nights ago I was up until 4am the next night "only" until 2am. Even though I'm getting up early for school. But it's getting better I guess. :)
My Welcome Back Party Saturday night was awesome! So many of my friends were there and some of them had changed so much, that was crazy. But I loved being with them again. That was a really fun night. :)

ALSO!! ;) Check out my Video on YouTube. It's me singing with one of my friends from America:

Bye bye USA ! :)

So, right now I am sitting at my gate at BWI airport and I am so bored!
My last two weeks in Poteau were good. We went to Texas to visit my hostdad's family and then we went to six flags, a big amusement park with lots of roller coasters and stuff like that. That was a lot of fun.
Well and then when I had to leave it was really sad.. I cried a lot at the airport.
I flew from Fort Smith to Atlanta, and from there to Baltimore where I visited my mom's cousin and his family. We went to Washington, D.C. and to Baltimore and they showed me around. I really like it here. It actually really is a place where I could see myself live.
Well as I said, right now I'm at the airport about to leave the United States. I really loved it here and really enjoyed my time. I will miss everything and everyone but I'm looking forward to seeing my German family and friends again!
See you soon Germany!

Last day of School and Tornadoes...

Sooo, as most of you may know, Friday was our last day of school. It was sad but I made it through the day. :)
The last week was great though. On Tuesday we had our talent show in the school. Some of the people were really good, others... well.... you know. Some of my friends did a dance and they won! It was really good and funny! :)
And then Wednesday we had the award show. That's where all the seniors get awards and scholarships and stuff like that. It was cool actually but it got boring cause it was almost 3 hours long.
On Thursday in choir we had cake because our choir teacher is retiring after this year... On Saturday we had a surprise concert for him and a lot of his students from all the last years showed up to sing with us. It was just amazing!
The whole last week of school I took so many pictures with all of my friends and I let them all sign one of my Poteau Pirate shirts. I will keep that forever! I love y'all!

Well... and then there were the tornadoes... So Monday, yesterday, we had went to Fort Smith to go shopping and we were almost on our way back when we heard about the tornado in Moore, Oklahoma. So when we got back home, on TV they said the tornado probably wouldn't hit Poteau, but we had a thunderstorm warning. We were all just sitting in the living room, all scared. Outside it was really still, like no wind at all. And then it started raining a little and there was thunder and lightning but not real bad you know. Well and then suddenly the sirens went off, we all ran outside, got in the car, and drove to the safe room of the middle school. And seriously, within maybe 5 minutes the wind and rain got so strong ut was unbelievable! So we were all sitting in the safe room and I was majorly freaking out. I had never been so scared in my entire life.
The tornado really hit Poteau, but luckily it wasn't that bad anymore. There was some damage downtown, but on our street there was only a few branches on the street and stuff. But I tell you, it was scary! And it hasn't stopped raining ever since...

Last week of school...

So the last week of school has started.. It's really sad to me and in first hour I almost started crying lol. Well, four school days left, let's make the best out of it!

Last week we had our choir spring concert. It was really good! I sang in the normal choir and we did two of our show choir songs and then some other people had solos and duets and stuff. It was fun! :)

Last Friday I went to Fort Smith with some of my friends. We went to eat at Fuji and then to the movies to watch The Great Gatsby. That movie is AMAZING! You HAVE to watch it! We started crying lol. But Leonardo DiCaprio is such a great actor! And he is perfect for the part he's playing.

Saturday our soccer boys played in the state championship finals in Tulsa. The school provided a bus for students who wanted to go see the game, so one of my friends and I went to see it and it was awesome! The game was intense but our boys did really good and won in the end! :) Go Pirates!! But it seriously almost gave me heart attacks. :D
After regular time it was 3:3 so they had to go into overtime. Golden Goal: whoever scored first, won. It was nerve racking!
But I'm so glad they won! When they scored that last goal, everyone jumped up and ran onto the field to celebrate and then we took a bunch of pictures and stuff. It was 1am when I got home but I had a blast! :)
Go Pirates! ♥

Last month...

First of all, Happy 1st of May to all my German friends! :) I hope y'all had fun last night. :)

I went to the band concert from our school last night and it was really awesome. They had black lights for some of the songs and that looked really cool.
Next Monday is our choir spring concert. I'm really excited for that. :)

Well, my last month here started today. I have exactly 30 days left... This will be going by so fast I can't even believe it..

Don't want to leave !

Today is April 26.
I have 35 days left in Poteau and 41 days until I have to leave the United States... Someone tell me this is not true??!!
Where did the time go? I can't believe how fast time passes by...
It feels like I haven't been here for much longer than, I don't know, 2 months maybe. But no, it's been almost 9 months already, 269 days to be exact.
It seems so unreal and I don't want to get all sentimental and stuff, but I think I might actually cry here in a little bit.
It's crazy to think that in a little over a month I'll be back in Germany. Crazy that I won't be around all these crazy Americans anymore. Crazy that I won't go to Poteau High School anymore..
But even if I won't be here next school year, I will always be a Pirate! I know that these people here will always be my friends.
You wouldn't think that you could be so close with people you haven't known for a very long time, but my friends here are like another family. We've gotten so close, I can't imagine my life without them; I don't want to!
I'm already making plans with them to come and visit me but it won't be until they graduate probably. And just thinking about not being able to see them for over a year makes me wanna start crying again.
I know all this probably sounds really cheesy to y'all, but it's the truth. I don't want to leave, but I guess I'll have to, eventually..

But You Will Always Be In My Heart ♥ Forever A Pirate

Prom, Prom, Prom ♥

Prom was awesome!! The whole day was great. I got my hair done, did my make-up, and then took some pictures with my friend Katelyn and my hostfamily.
After that I went to eat at Fuji with Katelyn and her Mom. I love their food, it's sooo good! :D
And then we went to Prom and danced and took pictures and stuff. It was so much fun. :)
The prom committee did a great job! The decorations were awesome. Our theme was Hollywood Affair and it definitely looked like that! :)

I will upload pictures here probably today or tomorrow! :)

Can't wait !!

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels !

Florida was AMAZING !
I had so much fun in that week! And all the other exchange students that were with us were really cool! I have friends from Brazil, Vietnam, Thailand, China, and Taiwan now ! :) I just love Disney and the parks are amazing. The weather was great too. Even though it rained quite a bit, it was still warm enough to wear shorts everyday. And I got a little tanned too. ;)
I think Disney World is just one of those things that you HAVE to see at least once in your life. It's hard to describe, but when you are there you just feel the magic; especially at the night shows and the fireworks and stuff.
Well, I just had a really great time! :)

Today we had  the first show of our musical "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels." We've been practicing since February and yeah today was the first show. And we'll have two other shows on Saturday and Sunday.
I think the show was really good. A lot of people told me that they liked it.
It's a really funny musical and it was fun to work with all the people, but also stressful!
But I'm really glad that I could be a part of this. :)

Disney World !!

OMG I'm so excited! Y'all don't even know!
Next week is spring break and Sunday I'm gonna be going to Florida and I'm gonna stay there the whole week and go to all the four Disney parks and to the big water park! I'm so excited! I love Disney World! I've been there before and it's just awesome. Aaaah ! :D

Tomorrow we're going to a city close to OK City and we're gonna stay the night there because we have a talent show / competition thing from our church. We're doing like a dance type thing with our youth group. I hope we're gonna win so we can go to nationals! :)

Blond Moment!!! lol

I forgot something really important!!!

Last week I finally got my Letterjacket! :)) I was so excited to get it and I love it so much!!!

7 Months ♥

Soooo, today it's been 7 months since I came to Poteau. I love it here! I want to stay forever, just make my family and friends move here.
Today it's also my sister's birthday! She turned 19 today. :) Happy Birthday, sis! ♥

Remember the choir competition I told you about? It was awesome! The judges judge us on a scale from 1 to 6; 1 being the best and 6 being the worst. And we got all ones! In every category, which gave us a superior rating! :) And that means we're going to State Contest on April 19th.

Talking about State Contests.. We went to the Wrestling State Championship in Oklahoma City the 22nd and 23rd of February. The girls and I had a lot of fun! And even though the boys didn't do as good as we had hoped, it was a great weekend!
Tyler got 2nd, Devin got 3rd, and Derek and Gabe didn't place, unfortunately. But they all tried their best and did a great job!
I still can't believe that wrestling season is already over.. It's really sad because we always had so much fun and I miss it a lot!

Musical practices are also going great. I'm really excited about it! :)

Wrestling Regionals ♥

The last week was the best week I've had for quite a while!
Tuesday I sang the National Anthem with the choir at the last Basketball game, which was also Senior Night. It was awesome!
Thursday was Valentine's day, which I survived thanks to my best friend Autumn! :) We went to the movies to see "Warm Bodies". That movie is hilarious, to everyone who hasn't seen it yet! :) After that we got ice cream at Braum's and then basically just sat in her car and talked. But it was fun.
Oh Thursday after school I also had my first musical practice. That's gonna be awesome!

Friday we didn't have school. But it didn't really matter, because I went to the Wrestling Regional Championships with the wrestlers and my matmaid girls. We left early Friday morning and drove to Glenpool, which is about two and a half hours away. And since the tournament was Friday and Saturday, we stayed the night in a hotel. It was so much fun! We took tons of pictures haha. And our boys did really good! Four of them qualified for State, which is next weekend (and we're going too! Yeeey ;) ), and we had one 1st, one 2nd, two 3rd, and one 5th place. I'm really proud of them and love all the guys and my girls too!

Today we didn't have school because it was Presidents' Day, so it was just a really relaxed day.
Tomorrow I have to get up really early because I'm going to a choir competition. I hope it's gonna be good!

Wrestling Homecoming ♥

Well........ There was a lot of stuff going on the last couple of weeks.. But now finally everything's fine again. :)

We had the basketball homecoming, wrestling tournaments, and basketball games. I worked at the concession stands a couple of times. And the wresting tournaments are always fun!

Last Tuesday was the wrestling homecoming. :)

Homecoming and more Wrestling!

Last Friday was basketball homecoming. :) Our girls and boys team, both won their games. It was really cool. After the games we had a homecoming dance in Mardi Gras Style. ;) My friends and I danced the whole time. It was a lot of fun. :)

Saturday was a wrestling tournament in Sallisaw. It was soooo cool! I'm not even kidding! :D We left here early in the morning and then we spent the whole day in Sallisaw, cheering for our guys. I think our team got 7th place.
Daylon and Gabe got 3rd place in their weight classes.
We had 3 wrestlers in the finals. Derek and Devin got 2nd place; and Tyler got 1st and he also got "outstanding wrestler". That's like an extra award.
And us cheerleader girls were doing pretty good. ;)
The next tournament is tomorrow! I can't wait, I'm so excited! :)

Sooo, yeah I quit soccer and switched to track. I'm not posting my reasons on here, so if you wanna know why, just ask me. But yeah, I had my reasons and so far I love track and I'm glad that I switched. :)

Three things, that symbolize America

For my English class we had to write an essay about three things that symbolize America and the American culture.
I got 120 out of 120 points for mine, so I thought I'd share it with you guys. :) So here it is:

Almost everyone considers America one of the greatest countries in the world. When people from other countries think about America, they usually think about the food and fast food restaurants like McDonald's, Burger King, and Taco Bell. But America has so many other things which symbolize the country and its culture. For example, the typical American sports, like football; the Statue of Liberty; and of course, the American Flag; all these things mean a lot to American people.

Everyone probably thinks about football as the most popular sport in the United States. If one asked people from a different country about their opinion on the most typical American sport, he or she would most likely say "football".
Students and adults see this sport in movies a lot, especially in high school movies or movies for teenager. All those movies display the games as public events that the whole school attends, or where people go with their friends and just have a good time.

Another thing which symbolizes America, stands in New York, the Statue of Liberty.
The statue shows a women, holding a torch in her hand. It represents freedom and independence, and therefore, has a great meaning and value to most Americans.
But the Statue of Liberty not only means a lot to Americans, but also attracts millions of tourists. People from all over the world come to New York to see it. The stores in New York sell miniature Statues of Liberty, postcards, hats, t-shirts, and a lot more, and almost every visitor buys something as a souvenir.
After the attacks of 9/11, the government closed the statue for visitors, but reopened it a few years later.
Whoever went to New York and did not see the Statue of Liberty, missed something.

All these things and a lot more symbolize America and its culture. But the flag stands as the most important symbol of them all.
It represents the pride that most Americans have of their country, and basically everything America stands for; freedom, independence, and a lot more. When a foreigner sees an American looking at the flag, he or she can see a proudness on their face, which they probably have never seen in any other country.
When the National Anthem plays at any kind of public event, everyone always turns around to face the flag and places their hand over their heart.
The American Flag has such a great value to Americans, that the government made up rules about it. For example, the American Flag cannot hang below any other flag, and has to have at least the same, or a bigger size, than other flags which hang beside or below it.
The flag has many more rules about it, and this really shows what a great value it has to America.

Every country has its symbols. For example, the Eiffel Tower for France; the Big Ben for England; or the good Swiss chocolate for Switzerland. Some things symbolize the country's culture and some represent the country itself.
Most of these symbols mean a lot to the people, who actually live in that certain country, but some only have a meaning to foreigners. However, every symbol has a meaning and importance, and stands for something special in the country's culture.

Wrestling ♥

I love Wrestling! :D It's so much fun to watch the matches and I love cheering. It's soo cool aah. :D And I pretty much understand everything that's going on. :)
Our team won both duels on Tuesday and I think only two or three wrestlers lost their matches. Our next duel is Thursday the 17th. Saturday the 19th,we go to a tournament in Sallisaw; and Tuesday the 22nd we have another duel.

Only four of us, because the other three couldn't be there that day. :)

We had two basketball games on the 4th. The girls and the boys played and both won. :)

We started soccer practice and next Tuesday we're gonna start after school practice. On Tuesday and Wednesday we had to run a mile in less than 8 minutes - impossible! Only four of about 30 girls made it on Tuesday and no one made it on Wednesday. It was cold and raining and just horrible. I don't even know my time cause everybody told me something different. I did pretty good on the sprints though. 7.3 seconds for 50 yards; and 15.2 seconds for 100 yards.
Today the Coach made us run the whole hour. My legs are hurting so bad! I couldn't even move them after the practice. But I'm trying and doing the best I can.

Oh yeah, on the 18th we have the basketball homecoming dance. :) That's gonna be cool. :)

Happy Birthday Autumn! :)

Alright, so I'm really trying to post more on here! But Sometimes I just don't find the time to get on my computer. But I'm posting quite a lot on Instagram and Twitter. So if you wanna follow me there, it's "zeynathegerman" for Instagram and "MissJuliet_x3" for Twitter.

Anyways, back to the topic. The reason why this is called "Happy Birthday Autumn!" is because today is Autumn's birthday! :) Autumn is my best friend over here. We had a little birthday party at a friend's house yesterday and stayed the night over there. We took a lot of pictures because Emily got like a whole photo shooting setup thing for Christmas. Like a screen and all the lights and stuff. So yeah, we kinda had a photo shooting. :D It was really cool.
Well we stayed up really late, so this morning I didn't hear my alarm and almost missed my matmaid practice. But I was only a little bit late.
Tuesday we have the next match and Saturday we go to a tournament in Sallisaw! That's really exciting. :)
Tomorrow is the first Basketball home game and I'm working at the concession stands, yeey. :D

Happy New Year! :)

Wooow it's been such a long time! I'm really sorry that I'm not on here a lot...

But well, first of all happy new year! :) I hope y'all had a great start in 2013. New Year's here is like totally different from what I'm used to. We didn't have a party and no one had fireworks, like really no one. We had some friends coming over and played games and stuff. :)

Christmas on the other hand was great. You know how in Germany we get our present and everything in the evening of December 24th. Well here they do it in the morning of the 25th. So on Christmas Eve, which is the 24th, we didn't really do anything. But on the 25th we got up at like 7AM and then we unwrapped all the presents and had hot chocolate and stuff. And after that we had a huge breakfast with waffles, pancakes, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, and German Nutella. :D It was soooo good!
I got really nice presents too. :)

Anyways, right now we have Christmas Break. Friday is the first Basketball Home Game and I work at the concession stands. :) And January 18th is Homecoming! I'm really looking forward to the dance. The theme is gonna be Mardi Gras. ;)
